The 30th Anniversary of the Photography Art Society Association (FSK) will be celebrated with events to be held between 28 December 2024 and 04 January 2025.
The events, which will start with the Anıtkabir Visit and the wreath-laying ceremony in the presence of the Great Ancestor on December 26, 2024 at 11.00, will continue with the opening of the member group photography exhibition and cocktail at Çankaya Municipality Doğan Taşdelen Contemporary Arts Center on December 28, 2024 at 14.30.
For 9 days, members’ photo exhibitions will be visited, art-filled moments will be experienced with photo shows, panels, music and dance shows, and traces of the association’s 30 years will also be found.
Seda Felekoğlu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association of Photographic Art Institution (FSK), who invited all art lovers to this comprehensive event, made the following statement:
STEP BY STEP, HAND IN HAND FOR THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY
“As the Photographic Art Society Association (FSK), we are in a sweet rush these days. Because our association is celebrating its 30th anniversary in December. With this sweet rush and excitement, we want to showcase our association’s contribution to the art of photography by organizing various events to celebrate our 30th anniversary. As part of these special celebrations, we plan to meet art lovers with rich content that will offer a different perspective on the world of photography, as always. At the beginning of our events, we will include a photography exhibition that examines the artistic, aesthetic and cultural dimensions of photography in depth and includes the works of our association members. We will present to our visitors distinguished works that reflect the evolution of photography from past to present and the latest techniques of today, stating each time that we derive our strength from our members and that we are constantly moving forward, step by step, with this strength, and again, hand in hand. In addition, we will organize a plaque ceremony for photographers known for their contributions to the art of photography, thus honoring the achievements of our association over the past 30 years.
Within the event calendar, we will also offer an important opportunity for discussion about the future of photography: The panel titled “Photography and Artificial Intelligence from the Past to the Future” will take place with the participation of photography artists and academics to discuss the effects of technology on art. In this panel, the transformation of the art of photography from past to present will be discussed, as well as how artificial intelligence and digital technologies have shaped the art of photography and what direction it will take in the future. Our events, which will end with many surprises that will include pleasant moments accompanied by a show with exhibition photographs, member shows, workshop promotion shows, dance shows and music concerts, will be held between 28 December 2024 and 4 January 2025, at Çankaya Municipality Doğan Taşdelen Contemporary Arts Center. “All art lovers who want to contribute to this important turning point where photography meets art and follow the evolution of photography closely are invited to this comprehensive event.”
