Joker 11 kategoriyle adaylıklarda başı çekerken, The Irishman ve 1917 toplamda on adaylıkla onu takip etti. Bir Zamanlar… Hollywood’da (Once Upon A Time In Hollywood) ve Parazit (Parasite) de birden fazla adaylık alan yapımlar arasında yer aldı.
En İyi Film Oscar Ödülü’ne senenin en çok konuşulan yapımları The Irishman, Tavşan Jojo (Jojo Rabbit), Joker, Küçük Kadınlar (Little Women), Marriage Story, 1917, Bir Zamanlar… Hollywood’da , Parazit, Asfaltın Kralları (Ford v Ferrari/Le Mans ’66) aday gösterildi.
